FABBOXING LIMITED is committed to the welfare of everyone who trains with us. Participant safety comes before everything else in the room, and concerns are taken seriously and acted on.

Many of the people we work with are in recovery or under significant pressure. We treat those participants with the same respect as everyone else, we do not single people out, and we do not ask anyone to disclose their history to take part in a public class.

FAB Boxing is not a treatment, clinical or crisis service. Coaches are not counsellors or clinicians. Where someone needs support beyond what we provide, we encourage and help them to reach appropriate services, and in an emergency we contact the emergency services.

Public gym classes are 18+. Work with under-18s only happens through schools, youth organisations and community partners, arranged directly with that organisation.

For programmes involving participants under 18, appropriate parental or guardian consent, supervision arrangements and safeguarding procedures apply. Delivery arrangements are agreed with the school, youth organisation or community partner before the programme begins.

Coaches deliver structured, non-contact boxing fitness. There is no sparring and no head contact in public classes. Coaches keep sessions professional, avoid unnecessary physical contact, explain anything hands-on before it happens, and stop immediately if a participant asks them to.

One-to-one situations with young people are avoided. Sessions are run in open, visible settings.

What is said between participants stays in the room. We do not repeat participants' personal stories to other participants, partner organisations or the public, and we do not use identifiable personal stories in marketing without explicit permission.

Confidentiality has limits. Where there is a risk of serious harm to a participant or to someone else, including a child or an adult at risk, we will share the necessary information with the appropriate people or authorities, and with the emergency services where needed. Where it is safe and appropriate to do so, we will tell the person concerned.

Where photography or video is taken at a session, we tell people in advance and respect anyone who does not want to appear. In school, youth and partner delivery, media is only taken and used where the partner organisation has the necessary consents in place.

Safeguarding concerns should be reported to Aaron McCann. If the concern involves Aaron McCann, it should be reported to Mark O'Reilly. You can raise a concern by email at Aaron@fabboxing.com.

All FAB Boxing staff or facilitators undertaking relevant work with children or vulnerable persons must have appropriate Garda Vetting in place before undertaking such work.

If you have a concern about safety, conduct or welfare, whether it affects you or someone else, raise it with a coach at the session or email Aaron@fabboxing.com. Concerns are reviewed by FAB Boxing management, recorded, and acted on. Written concerns will be acknowledged, reviewed fairly and confidentially, and responded to as soon as reasonably possible.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services on 112 or 999 first. Child protection concerns can also be reported directly to Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, and concerns about a crime can be reported to An Garda Síochána.
